Orangeville Energy Storage LLC has requested that the WCIDA provide tax incentives to assist in the proposed construction and equipping of an energy storage facility to be comprised of buildings and equipment covering approximately 1/4 acre (about 11,000 square feet) and related site improvements (the "Project"), to be located on a parcel of land on Centerline Road in the Town of Orangeville which will either be owned by Stony Creek Energy LLC and leased to and operated by Orangeville Energy Storage LLC or owned and operated by Orangeville Energy Storage LLC, which Project will have a total project cost not to exceed $5,000,000.
It is anticipated that the Project will create 1 part time job at the location over the next 3 years. IDA incentives will include sales tax abatement on construction materials and non-production equipment purchased for incorporation in the Project or use at the Project location having a total cost not to exceed $5,000,000, mortgage recording tax abatement on a mortgage in an amount not to exceed $5,000,000 and a real property tax abatement pursuant to a non-standard IDA PILOT agreement.
