Wyoming County Business Center Supports Small Rural Businesses Aiming for Growth and Success

(WARSAW, NY) A key component of Wyoming County's economic development strategy is supporting and assisting with business start-ups, business growth, and retention. Six more businesses recently completed the Wyoming County Business Accelerator Academy program, an intensive customized small business training program offered by the Wyoming County Business Center.   

The business owners developed new business strategies and action plans to promote their growth and profitability. They also identified their distinct competitive advantage and developed a strategic plan to dramatically improve their business performance. A brief narrative follows on each of the businesses that attended.

Coveny Construction and Renovations - Coveny Construction & Renovations offers full interior renovations, kitchen & bathroom remodels, windows & doors, new and old decks, and siding. They are based in Warsaw and serve Wyoming County and the surrounding areas.

Creekside Fabrics, Quilts and Yarn – A locally owned fabric store in Arcade that offers a variety of fabrics, notions, and yarn as well as a full line of Baby Lock Sewing Machines. They have a long arm that can be rented, teach a variety of classes, and hold events inspiring you to create.

Gypsy Girl Equine Rehab and Conditioning – The owner is a Licensed Veterinary Technician, Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist, Certified Canine Massage Therapist and holds a track license for NYS Gaming Commision as a general service vendor. They specialize in conditioning and rehabilitation programs and offer on-site LED red light therapy and Equi-taping services. They are a mobile business that serves NY and the surrounding areas.

Lawrence Automotive Detailing – Located in Arcade, this veteran-owned business offers full restoration services for your vehicle detailing needs including interior detailing, wash and wax, ceramic coatings, and paint corrections. They use high-quality chemicals, tools, and equipment on and/or in your vehicle.

RiX Carpet Cleaning, LLC – RiX Carpet Cleaning is a family-owned/operated professional cleaning service based in Warsaw. They revitalize flooring of all kinds specializing in hot water extraction methods (aka steam cleaning) for carpet, rugs, upholstery, tile & grout along with strip and waxing VCT. They serve both commercial & residential clients within 50 miles of Warsaw and pride themselves on unparalleled customer service & solving problems for their clients.

Sunshine Speech Therapy, PLLC – Located in the Village of Wyoming, the office has dedicated rooms for both children and adult services. The owner is an ASHA Certified Speech Language Pathologist licensed in the State of NY with over 20 years of experience providing speech services to children and adults of diverse backgrounds and ages in Wyoming County and the surrounding communities.

The Wyoming County Business Accelerator Academy is sponsored and supported by the Wyoming County Business Center, Inc. Board of Directors and the Wyoming County Board of Supervisors. Program funding resources are provided by the Marjorie and Charles Van Arsdale Family Fund at the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo and Key Bank.

The next cycle of the Wyoming County Business Accelerator Academy begins on April 3, 2024. Sessions are held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Ag & Business Center in Warsaw. Class size is limited.
