Company History
The A and A Railroad operates the only steam locomotive located in New York, a historic train depot with a gift shop and a scenic train ride. The A and A originated in the 1800s and is a popular historic attraction for thousands of tourists each year. The A and A still has commercial use and provides the transportation of molasses and other ingredients to the Reisdorf Bros. Feed Mill in North Java, New York.
Project Description
The A and A Railroad Corporation asked for sales tax abatement on construction materials for the maintenance and bridge rehabilitation project to replace defective bridge timbers, install new track, installation of new siding for the improvement of freight flow. The Approximate value of these incentives is less than $100,000; therefore a public hearing was not scheduled.
