The Company remodeled and expanded its facility which is rented to the Perry Veterinary Clinic. The project consisted of the construction of a new 7,488 square foot Morton Building to be used as warehouse space and to make additional access for vet and freight trucks. The project also included remodeling 5,000 square feet of the current office space to make more employee space, conference room and store display area. The additional space allows the Perry Vet Clinic to order supplies from vendors at a more cost effective rate and therefore pass along the savings to customers.
The Company asked for a PILOT agreement for temporary abatement of property tax, abatement of sales tax on construction materials and non-production equipment as well as an abatement of mortgage recording tax. Approximate value of these incentives is less than $100,000; therefore a public hearing was not scheduled.
