Wyoming County Business Fast Track Program Celebrates New Ventures

(WARSAW, NY) – October 29, 2024 - The Wyoming County Business Center proudly announces the graduation of six aspiring entrepreneurs and their business partners from the Wyoming County Business Fast Track Program, a significant step forward in the county's commitment to fostering innovation and economic growth.

These graduates are launching a range of exciting business concepts including:
• High-quality STEM-based kits designed for engaging, hands-on educational experiences
• Vibrant creative studio and learning hub for artists to explore and expand their craft
• Local roll-off dumpster and hauling service designed to provide efficient waste management solutions
• Bakery dedicated to crafting delicious and creative treats specializing in gluten-free
• Greenhouse featuring a you-pick blueberry farm
• An exquisite selection of farm-fresh handcrafted pies

Each venture aims to enrich the community while driving economic development.

Jennifer Tyczka, program manager, highlighted the importance of the graduates' journeys: "These entrepreneurs have passionately developed their business concepts, gaining not only critical skills but also forming meaningful connections with each other. Their collaborative spirit is key to building a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in our county."

Participants in the program benefited from intensive classes covering vital topics such as business feasibility analysis, market assessment, financial projections, and sales strategies. Local entrepreneurs Jeff Fitch and Mike Fitch facilitated the sessions, creating an interactive and supportive environment for participants to share ideas and strategies.

The Wyoming County Business Center, an affiliate of the Kauffman Foundation’s FastTrac program, customizes the Fast Track Program to meet the specific needs of Wyoming County entrepreneurs. With access to low-interest financing, technical assistance, and a robust business support network, graduates are equipped to navigate the challenges of business ownership and pursue sustainable growth.

Jim Pierce, President of the Wyoming County Business Center, emphasized the program's role in economic development: "The success of our graduates demonstrates the importance of comprehensive business planning and targeted training. Many Fast Track alumni have secured financing and established flourishing businesses, significantly contributing to job growth in Wyoming County."

The next Wyoming County Business Fast Track Program cycle will begin on March 25, 2025, at the Ag & Business Center in Warsaw. Sessions will take place every Tuesday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for 10 weeks. Entrepreneurs looking to turn their business ideas into reality are encouraged to register and join a supportive community focused on success.

The Fast Track Program is supported by the Wyoming County Business Center Board of Directors and the Wyoming County Board of Supervisors, made possible through the generous sponsorship of Tompkins Community Bank, Complete Payroll, Robert D.
